About Rhema:
Rhema Language Services, Inc. was established in 2007 for the purpose of
providing excellence in translation, interpretation, and training in English
and Spanish.
Rhema's owner and president started doing translations for a local church
in a multicultural community in 2001. After several years of serving on a
volunteer basis, the idea of going into business grew, and Rhema
Language Services, Inc. was born. The valuable experience gained from
years of the practical application of her skills, along with formal education
and training in translation, interpretation, and teaching provided a firm
foundation for the business. Her insistence on accuracy and excellence
has carried over from her service in the local church and can clearly be
seen in the service provided to her clients.
President and owner, Cathy Guynes, was born and raised in New Jersey
and has lived in South Florida since 1997. She received an Associates
Degree in Animal Science from Harcum College and worked as a Veterinary
Technician for 10 years. She later received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Spanish, a Certificate of Translation Studies, and a Certificate of
Interpretation Studies from Florida International University. Her medical
background is an asset in her medical translation and interpretation jobs.
She enjoys using her language skills to teach English and Spanish to both
children and adults in the multicultural community where she lives. She
also interprets regularly at her church in South Florida.
An individual member of the American Translators Association since 2006.
